Adai

Ingredients
Idly Rice - 1 cup
Urud dal - 1 tblsp
Channa dal - 1/2 cup
Thoor dal - 1/4 cup
Moong dal - 1/4 cup
Red chilly - 6
Garlic pods - 5
Ginger - 1 inch piece
Pepper - 1 tsp
Jeera - 1 tsp
Curry leaves - 2 spring
Hing - 1/2 tsp
Salt
Oil

Preparation
Soak rice and all dal items in water for 2 hrs. Grind with red chilly, garlic, ginger, pepper, jeera, curry leaves, salt and hing. Grind to coarse texture and slightly thicker than dosa batter consistency. Heat tawa and spread one ladle full of dough to form dosa shape. Spread oil on sides and cook in slow flame. When sides turn to golden color  flip to other side and cook for 2 min. Serve hot with coconut chutney, Idly milangai podi, Avial or sugar as side dish.

Note
1. Generally curry leaves, grated ginger and crushed garlic with skin will be added to batter. But I have added all while grinding itself to make it easy for kids to eat.
2. Adai has most of the dal items so its rich in protein which is good for growing kids. Dont skip garlic, ginger, hing and jeera as this tiffen item is heavy for adults!
